school. I currently live in Matthews, North Carolina where I have lived for almost a year now after moving from my hometown in Greensboro, North Carolina. I’m the oldest of four, with a younger brother and two younger sisters. I’m a self professed nerd and literature
freak. I’m a theatre kid, ice cream scooper, video blogger, zombie enthusiast who always has a dramatically short pixie cut to match my dramatically short height of 5’0”. I have a passionate love for chocolate soy milk, autumn weather, the Christmas season, and Scott MacIntyre (I’ll be surprised if anyone knows who that is).
Hi Sarah!
Good “meeting” you here at the team blog. I’m one of the team moms. My daughter Betsie will also be heading to Romania with you this summer. You two sound like you’ll have a lot in common. We are really excited to see all that God is going to do in her life and thru the life of your team.
Our oldest daughter Anna went to Swaziland, Southern Africa, with AIM as an Ambassador this past summer. It was truly an amazing and life changing experience. I’ll be looking for you on fb and if you have parents or grandparents, aunts, etc. on fb, send them my way. One of the things we did when Anna’s team was in Swaziland was to form a parents’ (and one grandparent) group thru facebook. We kept each other updated on prayer needs, news from the team, etc. Many of us are still in close contact with each other and have become real friends. And we’re helping to keep our kids’ team connected including planning get-togethers since they’ve gotten back.
Our family is praying for your team and now that we know your name, we’ll be praying for you individually.
Praying right now that God be providing all you need for this adventure both spiritually and financially!
With His grace and JOY!
Miss Elysa
