Hi! My name is Amy Charles and I’m a 16-year-old Paradise Valley Community College student in Cave Creek, Arizona. I love socializing with friends, writing, acting, dancing, and reading! I’m really excited, as this is going to be my first mission trip, though i’ve always been interested in outreach and have been involved in my Lifeteen program at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church. I was born about half an hour from where I live now, though we made various moves throughout my life – the most exciting was our one and a half year stay on 22 acres in Colorado! We also raised lots of animals throughout my childhood, including llamas, alpacas, Icelandic sheep, Nubian goats and angora rabbits 🙂 I now live with my mom and dad and my two cats 😀 I also have an 18yearold sister who’s just moved out who I’ve always been very close to! I was homeschooled all my life before graduating last summer, and have an incredible social life now with the various Christian and other teen groups I’ve joined lately. I also volunteer regularly at my local library working with and tutoring children. I plan on becoming a child therapist when I’m an adult and this experience is going to be amazing! I look forward to getting to know all of you more and meeting you in July!
